Brief Episode

One of my tweets was a neat moment in the day… Spotting Perez Hilton at the screening or after party for his show’s debut (Perez Says) on VH1 on September 11th.

• Tons of tourists at the Disney Conccert Hall heading to Dorothy Chandler Pavillion. Lots of Germans are up early today! #
• Trying out CallWave. Very cool! At least the idea. Vonage offers voice mail to email but charges for it on my landline. #
• Swarms of teens heading to Grand Performances downtown. Some teen singer in the water courtyard. #
• Overheard: “You know they’re filming a Will Smith movie?” — at Hollywood & Highland. Signage says Columbia Pictures — “John Hancock.” #
• Ran into Felix, a college friend from SMU. He’s teaching acting at AADA & doing puppetry/improv with the Jim Henson Company. Puppet Up. #
• Eating a burger at Hamburger Mary’s & Mario walked in. Aka, Perez Hilton. Haven’t seen him in person since he became infamous. #

Culture

• New York restaurants don’t have to post calorie count for their meals. Protein would’ve been impossible with the ubiquity of roaches. #

Web & Blogospher / Writing & the Arts

• Twitter Tools is amazing — captures accents from my Tweets & special characters. Trying to figure out digests right now. #
• I love Google. And yet I hate it. It’s the great searcher but an interferer when I want to share links with from my BlackBerry. #
• Commented on CopyBlogger about what inspires me to write. Many things do. Better writing comes from finding better inspirations more often. #

• Reading Glenn Greenwald’s post about General Petraeus’ history of unwarranted optimism in Iraq. There’s a video.. #
• Watched Glenn Greenwald’s video about Petraeus’ years of history of saying the war has been going swell. Good ideas, poor presentation. #
• PhonyFred.Org might have been started by Romney’s adviser. Wonder if there’s a cache somewhere. Love the irreverance of the name. #
• Cafferty on CNN mentioning same old dumb study on different way conservative & liberal brains work. Nothing of course on libertarians. #
