• The BES server for my BlackBerry is down. However, I still received text messages & personal email messages & can web so I’m fine. #
• A friend on Facebook: “I’d link to you even if you weren’t the only other person I know in this neighborhood.” And she’s a favorite of mine! #
• An advantage of texting over phone calls is if you feel gross or sleepy, your voice’s medium doesn’t become the message itself. #
• Another advantage of texting over phone calls: you can feel all the indecision you’re feeling but communicate decisiveness with time lag. #

• Just saw Canvas at Electric Lodge in Venice. A solar-powered theatre! #

About Town

• PinkBerry is good but very very annoying. The Abbott Kinney branch does what they do in West Hollywood. 3 toppings in 3 distinct spots. #

Television

• Watching the third episode of Flash Gordon. They spent money on pretty actors & lighting. The dialog is like Buffy, except not creative. #
• Flash Gordon could have been reenvisioned like Battlestar Galactica. Alas, it was not. #
• Flash Gordon also has a Wiki site. #
• 3rd episode much better. I think a classmate of mine wrote it - he’s good. The series runs back & forth between Mongo & Earth. Prefer Mongo. #
• Matthew Fox from Lost on a new SciFi channel series, Haunted. Looks good. #
• Torchwood is on BBC. DishNetwork doesn’t offer it on whatever plan I have. Maybe it’s time to upgrade plan. #
• Doctor Who: “… Only sociopaths to zap you into the past & let you live to death.” #

Celebrity & the Emmy Awards

• Overheard: “I don’t know. I think Ellen is kinda hot. I have her books. Her DVDs. She’s funny!” Hot straight girl watching Emmy red carpet. #
• Emmy Red Carpet: Jane Krakowski looks like she’s ready to play Aphrodite, Greek Goddess of love. 30 Rock agrees with her. #
• Emmy Red Carpet: Al Gore looks fat & faded. Julia Louise Dreyfus looks hot with straight hair. #
• The Pacific Design Center has a Buddha inspired pavillion to receive the HBO crowd for a post-Emmy party. Beautful! Stars expected at 8:20. #
• The Pacific Design Center is currently featured in a Mercury car commercial, but from the Melrose side (HBO party is on San Vicente). #
