Winter Flip Flops with Fur for Naked, Warm Feet

Come on. You know you want them.

I think they’re incredibly bizarre. And I want a pair.

“I love my Bonsais! The sheepskin really does keep my feet warm, and now I can walk around in flip flops even though it’s cold outside. Thanks for letting me stay such a lazy slacker!”

– Steve P., Newport Beach, CA

Yes, the words are from a guy here in the Southland. The product is Bonsai Sheepskin Sandals.

Why would I want to discomfort of flip flops on my between-the-toes webbing? Why would I want to walk on fur with the top side of lower extremities exposed to the harsh West Hollywood winter weather?

To make a point. You see, living in LA, East Coasters always go through a dialog like this with me:

VISITOR: Don’t you miss the changing of the seasons? (beat) I would!”

[As if the very weather that they are escaping when they visit my losangelino life is what keeps them there.]

GIB: We have all the seasons! I’m a sensitive guy! 60 degrees is cold enough! I get it! I don’t need 40 below weather and snow drifts to realize it’s winter!”

That’s what I do now — I have the lines and the blocking, delivery is pretty good after 14 years in La La Land. But I need props!

These sandals would be perfect. I’ll put them on as a button for this scene.
GIB: It’s so cold to me right now, I have to put on my winter flip flops! Or else I’ll catch cold!
