Tech Crunch Says Vote No On Prop 8 and Civil Rights
In covering Google’s supporting the opponents of Prop 8, Tech Crunch writer Michael Arrington notes that Google will continue to offer their advertizing services to the Yes On 8 bigots.
Meanwhile, TechCrunch’s article has ads served by Google and guess what?
Well, you can see it for yourself on the right. It’s an amazing bit of Doublespeak for such a small ad. “Support marriage rights” — by taking them away from a group.
The great thing about online media is that things get updated:
Update: We’re also seeing these ads on TechCrunch, although we can’t tell if they’re coming from our ad partner Federated Media or Google (FM syndicates filler ads from Google). Trying to take them down.
Update 2: they’re coming through Google, and we’re going to try to filter them out now.
