The Tammy Grimes Show (1 of 3)
I saw Tammy Grimes recently for the first time in “Can’t Stop the Music” on my DVR.
I’m moderately obsessed with her arch, upper class speaking voice.
Somehow, in uncertain economic times, it’s soothing to listen to people who’s major care seems to be getting an allowance and picking shoes.
Gizmodo Blackberry Bold Review Great Insult to Donald Trump

I’m having a tough time getting over just how fantastic and under-the-radar this insult is to Trump and The BlackBerry Bold.
Mrs. Ellen Degeneres
People magazine has promised a full panoply of photographs from the wedding of Ellen Degeneres & Portia Di Rossi.
Having known Portia personally, I can only wish them the best.
As a fan of marriage equality, I can only hope the beautiful photos of their nuptials will help the nation and the world relax a little.
Here’s the cover of People’s forthcoming issue. Another pic from People’s online preview after the jump.

Paulette Huntinova: Special Olympics 1988

Dennis Miller Calls DC Dexter Town

I’m loving this quote from the Dennis Miller interview by Jeffrey Ressner over at Politico.
Q: Was there ever a point in your life when you considered running for office?
A: … when I was in grade school there was always one kid who, two minutes before the end of class when no homework had been assigned, would always raise their hand and remind the teacher. That kid always bugged me. And when I look at Capitol Hill, I see 535 of those kids. I have no interest in joining them.

Shoshanna Bean: Johanna by Sondheim
One of my favorite YouTube artists is Shoshanna Bean. I’ve seen her live in cabaret situations, but have seen more of her on YouTube. She has an excellent belt voice and wonderful riffs, but this version of Johanna is a delightful surprise to hear.
