The Los Angeles Metro system is rearing for the holidays!

Late night subway connections until 3 AM from Union Station to North Hollywood and all points in between, plus DASH bus connections downtown.  So going to the Staples Center or the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion or LA Opera or downtown music and theatre just got that much easier for the holidays.

It’s for The Dead End Kids — a group of actors in a play on Broadway in 1935.

The Broadway play, written by Sidney Kingsley, transferred to Hollywood film with its original Broadway cast. Various groups of kids under the same name made 89 films and three serials for four different studios during their 21 year long film career.

The Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles brought the original cast together at a performance featuring descendants of the original show.

I’m hoping the billboard isn’t a warning about Johnny Depp’s singing skills for Sweeny Todd. Am I the only one who reads the lines and the credit as one sentence mentally?

• I received a notice about a West Hollywood hearing today. About lowering rent because the landlady doesn’t repair everything timely. #
• West Hollywood actually has some excellent rights for tenants but I never bother with them. West Hollywood was founded by activists. #
• Paramount mounted the Sweeny Todd poster. It says: Never forget. Never forgive. Johnny Depp is… Did he sing in Cry Baby? Or get dubbed? #

• Giuliani wants Israel in NATO. According to Glenn Greenwald, that would involve the US in endless wars. Rudy’s way to court the NYC Jewry? #
• I might receive a BlackBerry Curve from the day job. Or at least a discount. Would be nice. I could snap pictures & post them instantly. #
• On telly: baby bears trying to climb into a hammock. I think the Goldilocks story needs an update! #
• Rude Rudy? Giuliana spoke at NRA Association & received a call on his mobile. He’s done it before. Huh. #
• CNN: Congress Makes You Fat?!? Because of the farming bills? Are people mad? OMG! I would be so skinny! But that law made me fat! #
• Two people identified as “people of interest” in the Delaware shooting. I found my ethnicity! I’m a Vine American & a person of interest! #
• O-Bar‘s 4th anniversary is Saturday night. Last year they had a compimentary glass of champagne & ballons. Champagne is the new beer. #
• Just took an out of towner to Citizen Smith in Hollywood. We had slidersn chicken & cocktails. Bartendress Terri was fantastic. Lychees! #
• Billboard: “Big Shots. How long can they keep it up?” Four guys in photo. A little troubling somehow. Is it Viagra or is it television? #
• A Facebook friend hugged me, spanked me & kissed me. But hasn’t written, texted, or called. Mixed messages have a new medium! #
