Gay Marriages Start On Wednesday in Connecticut

Comments

Connecticut Couples Hear the Decision

Connecticut Couples Hear the Decision

A happy way to demonstrate support for gay marriage if you live in Connecticut — gay marry someone you love!

Thankfully, this state granting marriage equality and taking steps forward on the civil rights front cannot be set back by the bigots and their campaigns.

In Connecticut, their constitution may only be amended through a constitutional convention, and this issue was not success in being pushed through.

As always, I encourage people to read the Connecticut decision (Kerrigan v. Commissioner of Public Health) because it is very well written, very clearly thought-through, and also one of the simplest recent marriage equality decisions to read.

Alas, the PDF quality is rather rotten and hard to read.  But trust me, it’s worth it.

Harry Potter and the Naked Nymph (Julia Louise Dreyfus)

Julia Louise Dreyfus in Troll

Julia Louise Dreyfus in Troll

In 1986 there was a terrible movie named Troll.

I never saw it when it came out.

I can’t quite say I’ve seen it.  All right, I actually have seen it.  All of it.  But chunks of it were on DVR speed-through speed.

FromPopsucker:

the thing that shocks me isn’t that Lindsay Lohan’s sister auditioned for a remake of Troll that turned out to be produced by a guy mainly known for making porn…it’s that they are making a remake of Troll.

Yes, they’re remaking it.  I wonder if they’ll let the leading kid’s role still be named Harry Potter, jr.

Battlestar Galactica — A Visual Vent

Comments

I’m still addicted enough to Battlestar Galactica, that seeing how my post about Battlestar Galactica’s Last Supper continues to receive the most traffic, I’d add a little visual fun for my search engine visitors.

There are Truthful TV Title Cards that are all pretty cool, but this one stands out as my favorite.
